We're Safe - Bomb Blast in Quetta

3rd September 2010

Earlier today we were trying to leave the town of Quetta, Pakistan towards Zhob.

Our Police escort did not arrive, and we were told to return to Quetta.

As we were about to head back to Quetta we heard of the Bomb blast.

BBC - Quetta Bomb Blast

We were near this area only an hour earlier, and are very fortunate to have moved away from this area.

We are now back in Quetta, and are in a very secure hotel with approx 30 army / police officers outside.

Hopefully we will leave Quetta early tomorrow morning under police escort.

Our thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives in the Bomb blast.

I have just seen that you have obviously driven all night and have made it to Lahore. Ironically (and I don't know if you knew this) but you hit the GPS on the road right outside the 'Anti Terrorism Court. Keep safe and check in with us again when you can.
